Alexis Fernandez LMFT, CST, CSAT brings over a decade of clinical experience to her work as a therapist. She obtained a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University. She then studied at the Sex Therapy Post Graduate Training Institute of New York, where she became a Certified Sex Therapist (CST). Most recently, she has completed her training in addictive and compulsive sexual behaviors at the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), qualifying her to become a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist (CSAT).
Ms. Fernandez is a member of the American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors & Therapists (AASECT). She also served on the board of the Women’s Association for Addiction Treatment (WAAT) for 7 years. She is trained by and affiliated with the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). Ms. Fernandez opened her private practice over 7 years ago, and works with patients in the areas of relationships, addiction, and sexuality. Additionally, Ms. Fernandez has extensive experience with patients working through substance abuse and chemical dependency.
